Hi,

even better: MacOSX also supports "build-intermediate", that is, it can keep temporary object files (eg .o files) in a separate dir from the results (GNUstep make places all files in a single directory).

I think Nicola considered to add the "build-dir" feature to gstep-make, but currently it isn't supported.

Hi all,

I am coming from MacOSX and am used to build all my stuff in /Build/.... Keeping the object files and the sources separated is convenient for backup purposes. Moreover it accelerates the builds if the sources are stored on an NFS server.

How can I tell the GNUstep make package to write the object files into a separate directory outside of the sources folder?

Thanks a lot,

   Andreas
