Problem solved. apt-get dist-upgrade and the removal of old Xfree 3 stuff
solved the problem.
This also closes the other problems I had with libxml 2.4.15 and the wrong
detection of the objc compiler.
Upgrading to testing and making sure all old stuff is removed, is the
trick on Debian, guess that is why it is called testing ;)
