Now that I think about it, I'm no longer sure.

If you have a textfield in a panel, and you press 'Esc' to reset the input
manager context in the textfield, for accident you might abort the whole
panel!

So perhaps it is a good idea to keep 'Esc' and 'Control-g' separate.
