No, not at all. The N-Point DFT gives you N evenly spaced frequencies that make up the whole Nyquist bandwidth (i.e. the sampling rate $f_s$ in the complex case).
Also, you mentioned what would be in X, but what should vector W contain?
$W$ is the DFT Matrix. Look it up. The wikipedia Article is very illustrative with great visualizations!
