Hello all,

I would like to know if GNURadio has a built-in ASN.1 PER
encoder/decoder module, or we have to implement it.

It seems that this

<http://gnuradio.org/cgit/eb-oot.git/tree/vrt-ctrl/common/libasn1c>should do
the trick, but I would like to know if this is the correct approach. My
DSRC protocol is described using ASN.1 messages and this is why I was
thinking of compiling them down to C and then use the encoder/decoder
for the Tx/Rx directions.

Hi Alkis,

There's asn1c as well, the most up to date I've found is at https://github.com/vlm/asn1c. I used it recently to handle PER and XER encoding/decoding.

My 2 cents.

Chris
