FYI,
  - My host is ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 on an Intel Core2Duo
  - The FPGA image file is u2_rev3.bin
(http://gnuradio.org/releases/usrp2-bin/trunk/)
  - The FPGA firmware file is txrx.bin dated 03-Nov-2008
(http://gnuradio.org/releases/usrp2-bin/trunk/)
