I've found the bug which was causing the error ... a discrepancy  
in .h and .cc function definitions.  I'll correct it & check in  
everything as soon as I can verify "make distcheck" works.  Thanks

ps> I think the warnings are OK ... really don't know why it's  
complaining since the programming (though auto-generated) seems OK.
