Sounds like you've recently upgraded from gcc-3.3 to gcc-3.4. The latter
sports a new, incompatible version of libstdc++, which will do bad
things. You need to either recompile cppunit, or compile gnuradio using
the older compiler, taking care that the proper versions of libstdc++
get linked in at runtime (check ldd output, and make sure that exactly
one version of gcc is referenced).

Then again, you are using Debian, which probably means that you haven't
actually compiled any of these yourself. Not sure what to recommend for
that... maybe a move to Gentoo :) (reading this page may shed more light
on the gcc-3.3 vs gcc-3.4 situation:
