[Discuss-gnuradio] GR on MacOS X?

I'm a grad student at Notre Dame working on software defined radio projects. My current task is to get GNU Radio and the USRP hardware working under MacOS X 10.4. I thought I'd write to see if anyone ever got it to "work", and if so, what tricks were used beyond those already in the Wiki. I am certain that I will eventually get GR to work, but why reinvent the wheel? Once I do get things working, I'll add to the Wiki those directions directly or a link. Thanks in advance for your assistance. - MLD

ps> Here is where I'm at: Using Darwinports I've gotten all of the background applications and libraries to compile and install, and gr- build also compiles and installs. I can get the wxPython GUI to come up and display for certain examples, but sound does not work even when using 'liboss' (an OSS compatibility library) ... not a surprise since the gr-audio-oss wants /dev/dsp which darwin doesn't have. I can run the USRP benchmark_usb example, getting a result of "Max USB/ USRP throughput = 4MB/sec".

For any WX example, I get a message "wxPython/wxWidgets release number mismatch: 1 vs 2" (I edited the file to display the numbers). Has anyone debugged this? I have a feeling this is due to the internal version numbering versus that stored in the library's filename and library's internal meta-info, but haven't tracked it down yet.
