Now you've got a wx install problem.
Instead of installing everything in a non-standard location, have you
considered just downloading a pre-built binary, or if you're using
SuSE, Mandrake or Debian, just tell it to install from the the standard
distribution?   http://www.wxpython.org/download.php#binaries

If you insist on building wxPython from source (it's non-trivial),
