OK, on my system (cygwin, gcc-3.3.3) the second call to
MapViewOfFileEx() is failing, presumably because it can't
map to the requested address. The code is not handling it
as a runtime error though; it just notes that it isn't
contiguous with the first mapping.
It is failing because the requested address range is beyond
the valid address space.
I don't actually understand why they need to be contiguous in
the first place, but now it's apparent what is wrong, I'll
try to find a fix.

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

I've been looking into this under cygwin. I have no idea
why it is doing what it's doing. I have two test applications
calling the same code, compiled & linked with the same arguments.
One works & one doesn't. I'm checking with a debugger now.
I have no idea at this point though.

After I installed your pack Im getting the following

popup window:
<Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library>
Runtime Error!
Program: c:\python24\python.exe

This application requested the Runtime to terminate it
in an unusual way...

gr_vmcircbuf_mmap_createfilemapping: non contiguous
mmap 01140000 01140000 00010000 01150000
gr_vmcircbuf_sysv_shm: sysv shared memory is not
gr_vmcircbuf_mmap_mkstemp: mmap or shm_open is not
...more similar messages...

Im running WinXP-SP2...

Any idea about this?
