Just a general suggestion for anyone using an RPM-based system like 
Fedora... you can run multiple versions of Python on many of these 
distros using the PyVault project, found here: 
http://www.python.org/pyvault/

If your kit doesn't include the version of Python you want, it's worth a 
look.
