You don't.  They're what's left of the unported code from 0.9.

[Note to others: these Gr* files aren't in the 2.x tarballs, but still
linger in CVS waiting for souls like David to stumble across them ;-)]

Feel free to port it to 2.x.  It should probably be a subclass of
gr_sync_block.
