Can't we try IF sampling instead of bringing the signal down to baseband.
With IF sampling the baseband will require more work
but a single downconverter will do the task.

a I1,Q1,-I2,-Q2,I3,Q3..... interpolation (sampling at 2xNyquist) can be used
for downconverting from IF.

can this be done ?
