NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2003--SDR '03, the industry's
largest and most well-known international, technical conference and product
exposition focusing on software defined radio (SDR) technologies, is
scheduled for November in Orlando, Florida, announced the event's organizer,
The SDR Forum. A call for papers also has been issued.
Scheduled from November 17-20, SDR '03 will bring together the leading
decision-makers, planners, policy-makers, technologists, and educators from
throughout the world involved with SDR technologies. The annual event --
this year sponsored by the Forum, General Dynamics Decision Systems,
Spectrum Signal Processing, QuickSilver Technology, and Interactive Circuits
and Systems -- features numerous product exhibitions and demonstrations, a
variety of tutorial sessions and workshops, technical paper presentations,
keynote addresses from industry leaders, and the Forum's general meeting of
the membership.


Deadline for technical paper abstracts is May 1. All submissions are
reviewed by industry peers and leaders, and should reflect technical
innovation, high technical quality, and potential or broad practical
applications. Suggested topics for submissions include:

Last year's annual international conference and exposition in San Diego
included record attendance by more than 250 participants representing
organizations such as Motorola, Hitachi, Thales, LG Innotek, Boeing and
Intel. The event also featured sold-out tutorial sessions; nearly 100
technical paper submissions; numerous product exhibitions; and a keynote
address by Paul Kolodzy, then-Senior Spectrum Policy Advisor for the Federal
Communications Commission.
