Is that the master source repo?

Is there anything in that repo that says "This software is
released under the GNU GPL"?

What about license notices in source files?
Do the indi source files in the repo have license notices,
"This file is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License"?

That is secondary; the developers' source repo is primary.
So let's focus concentrate on that, and only that.
