https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Free_Software_Directory:Antifeatures
lists an item for "ad-blocker".

I don't understand why this item is here.
The name of the program, uBlock Origin, doesn't say
"ad-blocker".

If we think "ad-blocker" is not a good term for that program
then we can simply not use that term, right?

Ad-blocker

When the purpose of some program is to block advertisements,
“ad-blocker” is a good term for it. However, [50]uBlock Origin blocks
advertisements that track the user as consequence of broader measures
to prevent surveillance by web sites. This is not an “ad-blocker,” this
is surveillance protection. Read more about [51]“Ad-blocker”.

   1 listed:
                           [52]License [53]Version identifier [54]Version date
   [55]IceCat/Adblock Plus [56]GPLv3 2.7.2 23 February 2016

   Search the FSD for [57]adblock
