VMS is an (old) OS for VAX machines. It is now availably for Alpha,
too. OpenVMS is produced by Compaq. I dont really know anything about
VMS: it's not unix. it also has different path separators (and think like
that) and the file system concept is a bit different (so i have heard).
perhaps http://www.montagar.com/hobbyist/ contains anything more
insightful. it's part of a webring, perhaps that is any good. the FAQ on
the page is probably good...
