Follow-up Comment #2:
I have looked in the jackmidi.c code and it does not change the MIDI NOTEON
with zero velocity to a MIDI NOTEOFF
instead everything goes straight thru, thus:
for (i = 0; i < events; i++) {
read = jack_midi_event_get(&event, port_buffer, i);
process_midi_event(event.buffer);
}
the corresponding code in midi.c for getting midi from gio is thus:
if(command==MIDI_NOTEON && velocity==0) {//Zero velocity NOTEON is used as
NOTEOFF by some MIDI controllers
buf[0]=MIDI_NOTEOFF;
buf[2]=128;
}
process_midi_event(buf);
