Persistent sessions disappearing

DDD 3.3.1, Suse 8.0

I open a program within DDD, set some break points and choose File | Save 
Session As command to save the session.  I usually close DDD by clicking the 
window manager (in this case clicking the X button in KDE).  When I do this, 
the session is also deleted.  I haven't been able to prevent DDD from doing 
this.

Can someone please fill me in?
