DDD Link error sun solaris2.6

I am trying to compile DDD on a Sun sparc workstation running solaris 2.6.
The configure goes fine. The make is fine until it tries to link. The 
following error is produced:

Undefined                       first referenced
symbol                             in file
XtR6ShellStrings                    ddd.o  (symbol belongs to implicit 
dependency /usr/openwin/lib/libXt.so.4)
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to ddd
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `ddd'
Current working directory /Net/truman/user2/nbk6d3b/bin/ddd-3.3.1/ddd
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all-recursive'

Can anyone help me resolve this?
