Rafael, you're damn fast !I kept the external mailx as a default mainly for Debian, since it's known to work here. However the Net::SMTP method is obviously more desirable for all other distros. Since you prefer the internal method, I guess I'll make the same choice in the upstream source for the next release. Actually, if the 'external' code proves to be useless and legacy in a few releases I'll be happy, it's getting cranked up here :).
BTW, is there a standard (ie. distro-independent, forget debconf) method do set a parameter in Net::Config so I can display a useful warning ('hey, please configure your SMTP server with [?]') ?
