I am getting the following message when I try to commit:
I don't know what kind terminal on I is 'unknown'
I have the cvs server running on Solaris machine and I am trying to use
cvs client from a Linux (Redhat 7) machine using :perserver: option. I
have tried a couple of variations in the commit command, like using -m
options and -e xemacs options. The results are the same.
I have tried setting the terminal type to xterm as well as vt100.
I have seen similar problem posting on the net but not any solution. Can
somebody let me know what could be wrong.

Ramanand Singh
