The Hacker's Guide would appear to be just that:

This includes a list of VMs. JamVM and IBM's RJVM use Classpath
directly. The others make various changes, some of which are pretty
minor (SableVM's testing version merges with Classpath every few days).
The guide probably could be more prominently displayed on the front
page, rather than hidden away in docs (unless I've missed another
reference to it). If there are issues not covered here, you should
raise them on the list so they can be added.
