[Chicken-users] Q: Installing extensions & Source code

Dear all,

i am trying to install some chikcne extensions, and it seems
not to work. The following happen:


address@hidden:~/egg> chicken-setup  loop
  mkdir loop.egg.dir
  gunzip -c ../loop.egg | tar xvf -

gunzip: ../loop.egg: not in gzip format
Error: (load) can not open file: "loop.setup"
address@hidden:~/egg> ls
bb.egg  loop.egg  loop.egg.dir  srfi-17.egg


Since this hapens with all "*.egg" archives, i guess i make
something in general wrong?
