 This idiom causes problems to system packagers, to people using eggs in
 cross-compilation environments and to people using alternative directories
 for eggs installation.  Also, it doesn't play well with chicken-uninstall.
 Basically, the same class of problems that setup-helper < 2.0.0 used to
 cause.
