#381: 64-bit number conversion on 32-bit platforms sucks
-----------------------+----------------------------------------------------
Reporter: sjamaan | Owner: felix
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: major | Milestone:
Component: compiler | Version: 2.7
Resolution: | Keywords: fixnums, flonums, numbers, 64-bit, 32-bit
-----------------------+----------------------------------------------------
Comment (by felix):
Overflowing from fixnums to flonums is the default behaviour for numerical
operations i nearly every place in the chicken libraries, so I don't
really see much of a problem here.
I'd like to close this ticket, since all workarounds appear like a hack to
me, and numbers should always be optional (even a hook with be a hack).
