[Chicken-hackers] [PATCH 0/1] Drop extension-information

Hi folks,

Here's a patch that drops the "extension-information" procedure.

As Felix points out on the chicken-5-new-egg-install-notes page ("drop
it completely? we can't locate extensions, just eggs"), this procedure
doesn't really make sense anymore, and it would need to be modified to
do what it claims. More generally, though, this just seems like
something we should move out of core since it's just a convenience and
not actually needed by anything in CHICKEN itself -- the same logic is
implemented much more simply within chicken-install et al. -- and in
fact it adds an implicit dependency from library to eval for the
"##sys#split-path" helper, which I'd like to avoid. It can go into an
egg if need be.
