Hi all,
As y'all know, there are often weird problems that crop up when someone
is testing out CHICKEN 5, especially when installing to a directory where
a CHICKEN 4 installation used to be. I think at least some of those
problems are due to the fact that they both install under the same
lib/chicken/8 dir and use libchicken.so.8, in spite of the fact that
CHICKEN 5 is very much *not* binary compatible with CHICKEN 4.
We should've done this much earlier I think, but now people are starting
to slowly test the waters with CHICKEN 5 it's getting more important to
bump the binary version.
Attached patch does this, I hope I haven't overlooked anything.
Cheers,
Peter
