Hi Sunil,

Welcome to the list! And thanks for your offer of helping out with Zile :)

There's plenty of cool and interesting stuff to work on, so I'm sure you'll
find something that appeals. If you want some ideas, there's a selection of
open tasks on the GNU GSoC projects page under Zile:

  https://www.gnu.org/software/soc-projects/ideas-2014.html#zile

Of course you are welcome to find something else that interests you too, if you
prefer. Probably best to check here before getting started on anything though,
to avoid any blind alleys or duplication of existing work!

Also, as Garnaik has probably explained, the FSF insists on copyright paperwork
via snail mail before we can actually merge any of your changes into the master
Zile tree - though I'll be happy to help you set up a github clone, and make
use of branches in your own tree for merging after the paperwork is taken care
of.

In the first instance, you should set up an account on github if you haven't
already, clone the Zile project from my account, and then create a working copy
on your development machine, and try to get Zile built and working there. If
you get stuck with anything, please go ahead and ask for help on the list.

Cheers,
