Unfortunately, it's hard to tell what InstallShield means by its various
cryptic error messages.

I don't know why it would try to read from drive D or why it wouldn't be
able to.  Were you trying to install onto drive D?  Apparently you got
past this error somehow in order to have gotten to the next one.

This is a pesky error that people get at times.  See this web page on
InstallShield's site for some things to try:

If none of the suggestions on the web page above work, install WinBoard
on another computer and copy the contents of C:\My Documents\WinBoard to
where you want it on your computer.  That will work fine, though it will
not create the shortcuts on your start menu or associate the file type
.pgn with WinBoard.  You can do without those or set them up by hand.
