A posting from Andrew Cady (25.7.2013, 'New option: --rename-output')
lead into that direction (calling an external program for each file 
downloaded). Though it was 'discussed to death', there might be some things 
mentioned that are worth being considered (e.g. transferring meta info to the 
external program).
