Ummmm, no - dealing with autoconf is a bit beyond me. config.guess
says:
i386-pc-bsdi4.2
perhaps testing the system for "bsdi*" and adding "-ldvd" to the
additional libraries would be a good way to handle the situation.

Ah, that one I know (since I wrote libdvd) ;)
dvd_cdrom_ioctl() is the symbol exported for use by dvd.h
dvd.h is the include file that is installed and that is really the
only thing user programs are expected to use.
