I'm getting this when ever tar spans to another tape: tar: mynode\:/dev/nst3: Warning: Cannot close: Input/output error I'm using-new-volume-script=<myscript>
to do the actual tape change in the the library but I always seem to get this "Cannot close" warning when spanning tapes. I noticed the "\" in the message before the colon, I'm not putting that in there and I'm not sure if that matters.
The fact that the node name is in the messages says I'm using rmt to write to a tape on a remote server.
Is there anything I can do to correct this? Or should I ignore it? It currently is always reported as an error but the backup completes successfully.
