[Bug-sather] compiling error

Hello,
I've been trying to compile the sather 1.21 distribution without
success. I've installed libgc. The boot compiler is generated, but when
compiling the actual GNU compiler it claims not enough
memory (although the sather->c is seperated from c->object).
I'm using Linux (RH 6.0) with 64Mb RAM and 130Mb swap, so according to
the docs there shouldn't be a problem.
Here is the output :
------------------------------------------------------------
Creating C for installation compiler...

Boot/sacomp -verbose -O_fast -O_no_move_while -O_no_hoist_const
-O_no_cse -only_reachable Compiler/sacomp.module -o Bin/sacomp -only_C
Initializing... (0 seconds)
Parsing non-library files... (5 seconds)
Finding types and parsing library... (2 seconds)
Type graph, conformance, main, init... (3 seconds)
Type check, generate, inline, optimize, and make C... (410 seconds)
Headers, writing C files... Out of Memory! Returning NIL!
Runtime error - Unable to allocate more memory
(Use "-debug" to compile symbolic info)
---------------------------------------------------------------
(usually it just get stuck after "Out of Memory! trying to continue")

Isn't there a way to produce the C files in stages?
Any help would be appreciated.
Supplying an updated (GNU) RPM/tar.gz might also be usefull :)
(and not just .deb...)

Thanks,
Liav Asseraf.
