I am installing recutils-1.7 on Debian buster/sid and post this for your information and/or comment. After running ./configure the following warnings were issued: libcheck was not found in the system unit tests wont be compiled and executed upon make check libmdb was not cound in the system the mdb2rec utility won’t get built building recutils without encryption support building recutils without support for uuid types not building the recutils bash builtins
The two warnings that I am curious about and is there a fix are those concerning encryption and uuid types. Will I be able to use the UUID feature or the encryption feature in recutils? If so, are there any limitations? As to the other warnings: I suppose that the libcheck warning may not cause any problem. I ran make check. 9 tests, all passed. I am not concerned with libmdb and mdb2rec warnings since Access (or any MS product) is not installed. And as for the bash builtins - I will go to the bug-recutils list where I believe the solution was posted 2 or 3 years ago. Charlie Millar
