I'll fold this in and add a NEWS entry tonight, but the t8000-loop.sh 
test fails without this because loop doesn't support HDIO_GETGEO, 
without which you can not manipulate one partition while another 
partition is mounted.  At least, I thought that's what t8000 did or I 
added, now I need to double check.
