These asserts are not there in latest version of libparted.
But, the latest version takes care of only disk expansion case. It doesn't take 
care of the case where the disk has shrunk. If the disk size has reduced, and 
all partitions are intact and there is a space at the end of disk to copy 
backup gpt table, shouldn't we try to write the backup table at the end?
