A question about parted output

Hey all,
Quick question,

In Gparted, When I look at my list of partitions, it appears that I have one too many disks.  The fourth disk is identical in size to the first three.
I am running lvm on /dev/sda, and have the remnants of a system on /dev/sdb, and nothing (not even a disk label) on /dev/sdc.
It also says when I look at information about the filesystem:
Unable to read the contents of this filesystem.  Because of this, some operations may be unavailable, Did you install the correct plugins for this filesystem?

Does this have something to do with LVM?  The name of the extra partition is 0ATA_ST3500641AS_Linux_ATA-SCSI_simulator:

The only other (potentially) related fact was that I recently plugged in a usb disk that had two partitions and registered as both a disk and a CDROM device. And when I tried to eject it, It gave me some warning like "This is no char device" or something to that extent.

I am using GNU Parted 1.6.25.1

I get this output when I start parted:
dumpe2fs: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/mapper/0ATA_ST3500641AS_Linux_ATA-SCSI_simulator1

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
