Issue installing a machine using that 1.4.16 that was previously parted with 1.6.19

Hello,
I have just hit this and I haven't seen any reference anywhere to this issue.
I had a system (HP DL380) installed with RHEL4 Update 3 (parted 1.6.19) and I tried to reinstall it with RHEL 2.1 AS (parted 1.4.16) and the install process reports the following problem:

The partition table on /tmp/cciss/c0d0
is inconsistent.  There are many reasons 
why this might be the case.    Often, the  
reason is that Linux detected the BIOS   eometry incorrectly.  However, this
does not appear to be the case here.    It 
is safe to ignore,but ignoring may cause 
(fixable) problems with some boot
loaders, and may cause problems with FAT 
file systems.  Using LBA is recommended.

And:

The partition table on /tmp/cciss/c1d0 is
inconsistent.  There are many reasons why
this might be the case.  However, the most
likely reason is that Linux detected the BIOS 
geometry for /tmp/cciss/c1d0 incorrectly.
GNU Parted
 suspects the real geometry should  
be 130/255/63 (not 257/255/32).  You should   
check with your BIOS first, as this may not   
be correct.  You can inform Linux by adding   
the parameter cciss/c1d0=130,255,63 to the
command line.  See the LILO or GRUB
documentation for more information.  

If ignored thethe installation goes on but I seem to have some problems.
