Hi. While not specifically mentioned as one of the already fixed bugs
on http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/faq.html, version 1.6.21 is not
the latest release and this problem might already have been corrected.
Could you try again with the latest release (parted-1.6.25.1.tar.gz or
parted-1.7.0rc5.tar.gz) from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/ ?
