I am trying a Knoppix CD on an old compaq laptop. I ran qtparted from
a root shell and got the following message on the shell:
A bug has been detected in GNU parted. [...]
Assertion ((C * heads + H) * sectors + S == A) at
../../libparted/disk_dos.c:586 in function prope_partition_for_geom()
failed.
The message talks about version 1.6.21, the window title says "qtparted v0.4.4".
