I have not compiled from cvs lately so I have not seen the errors
you describe, but I noticed that parted-1.6.25.1 was packaged
using automake version 1.9.6. I had version 1.9.5 installed and
was able to compile when just running configure and not messing
around, but as soon as I touched any Makefile.am I got lots of
errors and was forced to upgrade. I would guess that your errors
are caused by an automake version mismatch.
