Here is the bootsect with the partition table.
Data from the /sys/firmware/int13_dev80/legacy
Cyl=554
Heads=239 (+1 ;-))
Sect=63

Could you please send your partition table?
dd if=/dev/hda of=berger-240heads.img bs=512 count=1
