I have tried to create a single partition on a very large RAID. I am using
parted 1.6.14, compiled from source and a custom 2.6.8 kernel compiled
with Large Block Device support running on Fedora Core 2. The disk label
is set to gpt, and the partition is formatted as xfs.
It will report the correct disk geometry (0.000-2622488.000 MB), and
accept that value for the end of the partition (2622488.0). print will
not report the correct partition size as seen below:
# parted /dev/sda print
Disk geometry for /dev/sda: 0.000-2622488.000 megabytes
Disk label type: gpt
Minor Start End Filesystem Name Flags
1 0.017 525335.983 xfs
