I don't know what's the current now but you can get the latest stable
release from Andrew's site:

        http://members.optusnet.com.au/clausen/parted-1.6.6.tar.gz

reference,
        http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-parted/2003-09/msg00002.html

Andrew, I don't understand why the web wasn't updated to point to the
temporary download site ... no access? Or you just didn't believe it will
take soooo long to recover? (me neither)

Thanks! I found out this same version out there somewhere else but wasn't able to compile it (see error below) and I thought it could be not the latest release or some kind of unofficial packages so I went back to search and then told myself that it could be a nice to get this project back on track.

Maybe gnu.org is waiting for developper to authentificate files or somethings ?!

<snippet on compiler error>

linux.c: In function `_device_get_length':
linux.c:407: error: parse error before '[' token
make[3]: *** [linux.lo] Error 1

Is this anything relate to gcc's version ? (using debian with gcc 3.3 to compile that)
