Hi all, again
I've been thinking:
How should I add this stuff to the Parted docs?
We need to invent some new terminology:
* booting from boot floppies, or from an initrd on a hard disk
has something in common. What's a good collective term?
"External boot"? "Parted ramdisk session"? Other ideas?
So, I can say things like:
"if you want to resize your root partition, you need to
use a Parted ramdisk session... see section X"
Then, in section X:
"There are two ways you can start a Parted ramdisk session:
* by boot disks (section X.1)
* by installing on your hard disk's bootloader (section X.2)"
It seems really hard to explain this without confusing everyone!
Also, partboot and partroot are really stupid names. Any better ideas?
kernel-boot and parted-initrd? parted-fs?
Cheers,
Andrew
