Thats right. Some projects need reiserfs functionality. They hack it up
every time as needed. There are parted, grub. I'm going to create
ext2_to_reiserfs convertor. It will need libreiserfs too.

The parted needed at least reiserfs_open, reiserfs_create,
reiserfs_close, reiserfs_resize, and some utilities. However, parted
maintainer (Andrew Clausen) constantly improves parted by new features.
The GRUB needed simple file access and fs probing. Other projects may
required more fuctionality from libreiserfs.

I have implemented almost all functionality (based on
reiserfsprogs-3.x.0k) needed by parted. However, what I should do if new
version of the reiserfs will comes out? To hack up again?

It is good idea, to create libreiserfs with constantly interface.
