Hi Andrew,
I have tried parted 1.4.3: after resizing the FAT partition
the type of the partition is now correct but the boot process
stops with an IO error;
the partition table is:
1 1500.188 2248.312 primary FAT boot
2 2248.312 3098.812 primary FAT
(there was an old ext2 partition in 0.031-1500.187 which has
been removed)
I do
resize 1 0.031 2248.312
parted asks if I want a FAT32 partition, I say OK,
the partition table becomes:
1 0.031 2248.312 primary FAT boot
2 2248.312 3098.812 primary FAT
but when I reboot I get IO error;
I can still recover the windows partition with:
rm 1
mkpart primary FAT 1500.188 2248.312
set 1 boot on
