This is a weird one... BTW: can you do:
# parted /dev/hdb print
Anyway, I'd really appreciate a back trace. To do this, you need
to compile Parted with debugging information:
$ CFLAGS="-O0 -g" ./configure && make clean && make
# cd parted
# libtool gdb parted
(gdb) run
Then, when the assertion fails (when it says "You found a bug..."),
hit CTRL-C. Then, type:
(gdb) bt
Then, keep typing:
(gdb) up
Until it says _disk_check_sanity. Then:
(gdb) call ped_disk_print (disk)
Then, send in the output of the commands (bt and ped_disk_print().
